The temporary storage site is situated along the shore line of Barangay Carlatan inside San
Fernando Harbor about 1,900 meters southeast of the grounding site. Aside from being
partially sheltered the area is a bit far from the adjacent clusters of residential houses except
for a beach resort and a house nearby. It is also near the community hall of Barangay
Carlatan.
