Love Me More, Love Me Not
By Adelino L. Masigla
And I would pick in admiration,
By the Eden bedecked with love,
A flower called the chrysanthemum,
Blooming along in blossoms clad,
And marvel at its’ colors blend,
A creation from the Lord above,
But not too soon in fading hope,
Each trimmed petal would then be plucked,
On every stroke asking questions,
Like-- love me more? then-- love me not?
Inspired by the sea, on board vessel as 3rd Mate, this poem was written during
the summer period after the authors' early morning (0000H-0400H) duty and while
waiting for dawn to take stellar observation.
