My Music
By: Adelino L. Masigla

The gentle breeze against the trees,
Are peaceful notes of joy,
As sparrows fly and crickets hums,
Are sounds my heart enjoy.
The waves that race in perfect rhyme,
That rushes to the shore,
Your blissful gaze and wanting smiles,
Are songs that I adore.
Then in refrain I'll find you gone,
My music airs no more.

/1966. M/Tug Salvor, mid China Sea
Reminiscing his youth the author was inspired to write this poem as  he recalled
his childhood by the sea and the mountains he very much admired and enjoyed
playing at. For him it was paradise he deeply missed. When he returned to the
place eight years later, he was dismayed to find the beauty and serenity of these
nature's creation were falling apart.
